Our answer to God's call

Jesus is the foundation, the corner stone of the Christian Church. This church "Little Flock" seeks to found itself on Him. As all Christians, we meet together regularly to pray, meditate on the Scriptures, to sing and to encourage each other. This is the faith that allows us to overcome life's difficulties. But there's more.

We believe that Jesus is alive, that thanks to His death on the cross we can receive eternal life. This hope and trust gives us a deep peace that nothing in this world can ever take from us. We recognise that we have received freely, and we want to tell the Good News also to others.

If you are already a disciple of Jesus Christ, we want to share with you something special about the beliefs of the church. Firstly, we believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, the blessed Mary; we believe that the Word of God became flesh and that He has always existed, and is the Creator of all things. We believe that Jesus' life was without sin and that He gave himself for us on the cross - He is our Great High Priest - and offered the necessary and all-sufficient sacrifice that reconciles humanity to God: nevertheless man must accept the fact that his works are useless in gaining him salvation. Salvation based on the work of Christ is that which gives assurance to the believer, and a believer becomes a new creation in Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit and no longer persists in the commiting of sins.

For the edification of the church, Jesus graciously gives the Holy Spirit to believers, who can firstly receive the gift of speaking in other languages to worship God with; there are other gifts of prophecy, words which God puts in the heart that others need to hear; then there are gifts of healing, etc... God chooses believers and gifts them particular ministries. As Ephesians 4:11 says, "It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers".

We believe that the local church must be guided by a committee of elders, who are in this case: Antonino, Giovanni and Ramon. They decide together who will lead the meetings each time and who will preach, without any of them assuming a predominant position over the other.
